The Electronics 101 class is your chance to learn the basics of electronic circuits from the pros. Even if you have no idea what a resistor is, or have never picked up a soldering iron before, you can do it all, with a just a little bit of help.

This class is perfect for absolute beginners. I have stripped it down to the bare essentials, making it perfect for young people or the technologically challenged! :)

you feel you have a knack for writing lyrics or a great melody, but
are unsure how to put it all together? Have you written a song but
don't know what your next step is?

Join us for an afternoon songwriting workshop with professional
songwriter David Chester where we will go over the the nuts and bolts
of writing a well-crafted commercial song, including:

• Song structure
• "Hooks"
• "Riffs"
• Great lyrics (They are not all "I love you" and "You broke my heart")

Learn how to safely operate and use your own and public WiFi hotspots. Hands-on will include how to pimp your performance by using Opensource firmwares like dd-wrt. Infrastructure security auditing will also be covered if time permits.

Been playing around with Cassandra and CouchDB as of late; I find them
both fascinating and would love to do a class or a round table where
we can flesh out these technologies.

from Twitter, Facebook, reddit etc etc and having them talk about how
they all migrated to Cassandra. I have already been researching
Cassandra, and would love to help with this....

Workshop: Climbing Your Own Everests: Making Change

Climbing the world's highest mountains is an excellent a model for achieving other extremely demanding objectives. Mountaineering requires total physical, intellectual and psychological commitment--and can yield the greatest rewards. Reaching the summit means standing on the top of the world with an ocean of white-capped peaks on every side and the clouds at your feet.

Weekly meeting
Weekly meetings are open to all, free of charge.
Craft beer and home cooked meals are usually (but not always) available for 500 yen each.
